Community Invited To Celebrate 20th Annual Hawai`i Event
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Coalition-Hawai`i is honored to extend our invitation to the community and to its
many organizations to participate in the 20th Annual MLK Parade and Celebration to be held on the Martin Luther
King, Jr. National Holiday, on Monday, January 21, 2008. 2008 is the 40th anniversary of Dr. King's assassination.

TO RECEIVE AWARDS
Mayors of Four Counties To Present Grand Prizes During National
Poetry Month
HONOLULU -- Winners of the Ninth Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Peace Poetry Contest sponsored by the International Peace Poem
Project will be honored during events on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and
Hawai`i. There are over 200 winners from the 1300+ entrees submitted
state-wide by Hawai`i students.
